This is pretty cool, but I want something to complain about! Is it your anniversary, or are you just inspired by Charles Darwin trivia these days? Westminster Abbey has to be in the top 1 or 2 percent of cool places to propose. Good job!

One thing I found about Westminster Abbey is that it's sort of depressing how it's in the middle of the city and dwarfed by all the ho-hum hotels and other tall buildings that surround it. Thankfully, once you get inside, it's easy to forget about that.

What a great story! And thanks for making the rest of us men look like totally unthoughtful heels… :-)

Hope for the next generation of young men.

    Peace.

Beauty. – Well done. I wish I had a cool story like that.

I'm going to have to go somewhere unique some day, and renew our vows.

"…my family decided to sit outside the historic church instead of accompany us inside…" FYI… It was COLD too!

To everyone following and dewdette… siblings didn't know either!

Your little dewdlings are going to love this story.

Hey Chris – I'm a new reader. Great story. I proposed to my wife at the WWI memorial here in KC. Lacking anyplace like Westminster Abbey, it was an appropriately historical place. We enjoyed it because it's the only one of its kind, it overlooks the city, and has a great greenspace. We can now feel bad for guys in small towns who have absolutely no great places to propose! (Though my grandfather proposed on top of an old wildfire watchtower, so I guess anyone can find some suitable place with some creative thought.

That's awesome Matt. Cool stories. I think that pretty much any place where one person devotes them self to another forever becomes special right then and there.
