Great job dad! Tough tough decisions are made every day when you have children. Mine are 8 and 10. We had an issue with a friend showing his privates, and my friends dad said to his son “Son, you don’t have privates anymore, you have PUBLICS!” He’s better now. :-)

Your story was well written and I’m glad you have the courage to ‘parent your children’. We have found with one of our children, the threat of removing privileges/toys is a great motivator. With our other child it’s opposite. We need to use rewards as a motivator. “If your behavior is great this week, you can have a friend over this weekend”.

My wife and I can’t believe that they came out of the same gene pool!

Take a look at these two stories I wrote about my children if you get a moment. Thanks for sharing!

    Very well said.

Having acknowledged that fact, let me say:

    “Thhhhppttttt”.

That’s for mocking me on the blog of another.

    Turff:

Are you bothered because I mocked you or because it was warranted? :-)
